By creating an account or using the Zonde platform ("Service"), you ("Customer", "You") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Zonde provides an Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring platform that combines hardware sensor devices with a cloud-based web portal. The Service allows you to:
The Service is not a monitored alarm system. Zonde does not monitor your data on a 24-hour basis. You are solely responsible for reviewing alerts and taking action. Zonde is not a substitute for professional monitoring, fire alarm, or security systems.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@zonde.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
The Service is currently offered as a beta product at no charge. During the beta period:
When the Service transitions to general availability, we will notify you of any changes to pricing, terms, or data handling.
Zonde hardware devices are sold separately from the software service. Title to hardware transfers to you upon purchase. Hardware installation is the Customer's responsibility. Zonde is not liable for damage caused by improper installation, environmental conditions, or use outside the device's specifications.
You own your data. All sensor readings, configurations, and account data submitted to or generated by the Service belong to you. We will not sell, share, rent, or transfer your data to any third party except as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
Upon account termination, we will provide a data export within 30 days of written request to support@zonde.io.

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails from Zonde (email verification, password reset, account notifications).
If you provide a phone number and opt in to SMS alerts, you consent to receive text messages for device alert notifications. These are operational messages only — not marketing. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Policy for full details.
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the availability of the Service. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
We are not liable for interruptions caused by third-party telecommunications carriers, internet service providers, power outages, or force majeure events.
All rights, title, and interest in the Service (including software, firmware, trademarks, and documentation) belong to Zonde. Your use of the Service does not grant you any ownership rights beyond the limited license to use the Service as described in these Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that sensor readings will be accurate, that alerts will be delivered without delay, or that the Service will meet your specific requirements.
IN NO EVENT SHALL ZONDE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, EQUIPMENT, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
Zonde's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Zonde in the six (6) months preceding the claim. During the free beta period, this cap is zero.
Zonde is not liable for any damage, loss, or injury resulting from sensor failures, missed alerts, delayed notifications, network outages, or power failures.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zonde from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@zonde.io. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if the Service is discontinued.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request a data export within 30 days of termination.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rhode Island.
